We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer (Python/GCP) to lead our SDK modernization and microservices initiatives. In this role, you will architect high-performance asynchronous services using FastAPI, manage zero-downtime SDK releases, and deploy cloud-native solutions on GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE). The Impact You’ll Make (Key Responsibilities) SDK & Application Modernization: Serve as the dedicated backend specialist driving software engineering initiatives to facilitate the transition, integration, and continuous upgrade of application SDKs and core microservices across client ecosystems.Python Expertise: Extensive experience architecting and deploying high-performance, production-grade Python applications, with deep proficiency in modern asynchronous frameworks such as FastAPI.Cloud Architecture (GCP): Proven experience building cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform, with expertise in Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and containerization via Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).Data Pipelines: Familiarity with BigQuery and Cloud Dataflow for managing, processing, and orchestrating large-scale data environments.DevOps Proficiency: Strong command of Git, automated CI/CD pipelines, and comprehensive testing frameworks to ensure zero-downtime SDK releases and API upgrades. What You Bring to the Table (Requirements) 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering, microservices architecture, and API design.Mastery of Python 3.x, asynchronous programming, and FastAPI.Hands-on GCP expertise, specifically with Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and GKE (Kubernetes).Strong containerization skills using Docker for container creation, deployment, and optimization.Experience with data pipelines, integrating microservices with BigQuery and Cloud Dataflow.Proven track record in SDK management, including design, seamless client integration, and zero-downtime upgrades.Proficiency in DevOps & CI/CD, using tools like Git, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build for continuous delivery.Commitment to quality assurance through rigorous testing frameworks like pytest and automated test suites.
