Description

The Staff Engineer is responsible for helping domain teams design and implement effective technical solutions to customer and business problems in a scalable and maintainable way. They drive cross-team solution design to ensure architectural alignment and technical consistency, providing deep backend and platform expertise. This role reports to the Principal Engineer and partners closely with them to create and evolve solution blueprints (target architectures, patterns, and guardrails) that teams can execute against. When needed, they work directly with product engineering teams to rescue initiatives such as diagnosing issues, unblocking delivery, and reducing technical risk through pragmatic leadership and hands-on contribution. A key focus of this role is executing the platform uplift strategy toward a decoupled, cloud-native architecture that increases resilience and responsiveness to change.
