Kubernetes Platform Engineer

The Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join a technology-focused team responsible for building, operating, and continuously improving a modern cloud-native infrastructure environment. You’ll play a key role in developing a scalable Kubernetes platform, working across infrastructure, automation and platform engineering. This is an opportunity to contribute to the design and evolution of the underlying architecture while working with a strong range of modern Cloud Native technologies. The Role Design, develop and operate a Kubernetes platform based on Kubernetes, Cluster API and OpenStackContribute to the architecture and ongoing development of the platformDevelop Kubernetes Operators and REST APIs to support complex infrastructure and service requirementsTroubleshoot technical issues, carry out root-cause analysis and implement robust, long-term solutionsAutomate infrastructure and platform processes using GitOps principlesWork with ArgoCD and Kustomize to manage Kubernetes-based infrastructure and deploymentsSupport the continuous improvement, reliability, and scalability of the platformParticipate in a 24/7 on-call rotation Your Experience Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Kubernetes platform operationsSolid knowledge of Linux-based infrastructure and systems administrationExperience with cloud infrastructure and Cloud Native technologiesGood understanding of GitOps, configuration management and infrastructure automationExperience developing complex tools, ideally using GoExperience with Kubernetes Operators and/or REST APIs would be beneficialFamiliarity with Cluster API and OpenStack is highly desirableStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop sustainable solutionsA proactive approach to learning and keeping up to date with evolving technologyGood German and conversational English skills
