Department & Position The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market IT applications (in-house and package) used worldwide, covering Front Office (Murex, Apex, Orchestrade…), Back Office (Summit, Calypso…), Market data referential (Asset Control..), Market Risk (in-house application on big data technologies). The Transversal Operation division works across the full value chain of Back Office ans specially on the Collateral management. Within GIT and more specifically Capital Market IT, the GMD & MCR Transversal sector has launched the COMET project, aimed at building the new collateral management system: Receiving data from position-keeping systemsReceiving data from the bank's repositoriesManagement of collateral contractsCollateral management for all types of contracts and products: Calculations and issuance of margin calls and interest (collat & IM)Reconciliation managementCreation and editing of user reports. This project is managed in Agile mode and is an in-house CACIB development. We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with a strong aptitude for programming to join our dynamic Capital Market Department. In this role, you will contribute to projects and possesses capability to make breakthroughs in design, development, testing, debugging and implementing software applications or specialised utility programs in support of end users' needs on platforms. Main Responsibilities Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs. Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.Identify and resolve issues which have organisation wide and long-term impact. Identify security risks, creates requirements to capture security issues, and performs initial threat modelling to ensure coding standards meets security requirementsDevelop and maintain the software configuration management plan and oversees the building, verification and implementation of software releases. Provide guidance and technical support to the quality testing teams.Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.Collaborate with cross functional teams (business analysts/ support teams… ) to ensure smooth integration of new features and updates and troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application-related issuesStay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to capital markets.Participate to proof of concept for new technology R&DContribute to continuous improvement and automation by leverage your programming skills to create custom tools and scripts that automate repetitive tasks and reduce manual effort.Develop scripts and automation tools using Python, shell scripting, and other basic programming languages to streamline processes and improve efficiencyEngage and support others in the team, readily put forth his ideas in a clear and compelling manner.Collaborate with computer hardware engineers (CAGIP and ITS) to integrate infrastructure constraint (whether in-premise or cloud) hardware and software systems aligned with capacity, develop specifications and performance requirements. Qualification and Profile At least 4 years of experience in Java / J2EE developmentAt least 3 years of experience with Jenkins, GIT (GitLab)At least 2 years of experience in AnsibleExperience in cloud native architecture (Micro services)AWS cloud architectureExperience with Docker / Kubernetes / MicroservicesStrong knowledge on various design patternsA strong understanding of recent Java language features, such as lambdas, streams, and futuresGood knowledge of algorithms and data structures, with strong fundamentals in complexity analysisStrong ability to analyze code – understand execution flow & debug even without access to a debuggerExperience with Maven, Git, writing and maintaining integration testsStrong familiarity with APIs development and security designGood knowledge of SQL or an SQL-inspired dialect such as HQLWilling to do L3 Support if required Nice to have: Web development fundamentals (HTML, JavaScript, typescript, jQuery, ReactJS, etc)ElasticSearchUnderstanding or interest in finance & financial markets, particularly interest rate derivatives in their many forms (Forwards, Futures, Swaps, Swaptions, etc)
