About The Job
This role sits within our Core Banking Platform team and follows a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) model.
Develop monitoring, alerting and health-check automation for Linux and Oracle environmentsBuild automation and tooling in shell (Bash/ksh)Write PL/SQL and operational scripts to support batch processing and data flowsSupport and maintain Avaloq applications running on Linux platforms.Monitor system performance, conduct health checks, and provide operational support.Investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolutions with stakeholders.Participate in the end-to-end project lifecycle, including implementation and post-production support.Collaborate with team members on project delivery and operational activities.Contribute to automation, tooling, and continuous process improvement.Deliver high-quality outcomes while ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash and/or Korn Shell).Basic experience with Oracle Database and SQL*Plus.Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, SSL/TLS).Familiarity with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a disciplined approach to operational processes.Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, or RMAN.Exposure to Ansible, Git, and CI/CD tools.Windows Server administration experience.Background in banking, financial services, or core banking operations.Familiarity with Avaloq Core Banking System (certification is an advantage).
