About The Role We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to join our IT department at our Dortmund location. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting and enhancing our billing and master data systems. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and optimizing database systems, automating workflows, and ensuring the stability and security of our infrastructure. Qualifications The ideal candidate will hold a degree in computer science, business informatics, or a related IT field, or possess comparable qualifications with relevant experience. You should have extensive knowledge of relational SQL databases such as Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL, including experience with PL/SQL programming. Familiarity with software development concepts and tools like Scrum, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Domain-driven Design is essential. Additional skills in NoSQL databases and backend development with Java or PowerShell are advantageous. A strong enthusiasm for emerging technologies, coupled with a systematic and goal-oriented working style, is vital for success in this role. Excellent analytical skills and high motivation to shape innovative solutions are also required. Responsibilities Conduct database analysis and evaluate case data relevant to billing processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.Administer and configure existing billing systems, focusing on database management and optimization.Identify opportunities to improve existing solutions and workflows by evaluating and integrating new frameworks, libraries, and tools.Develop applications and interfaces aimed at streamlining processes and automating repetitive tasks to increase efficiency.Maintain high code quality through regular team discussions, code reviews, and the implementation of automated testing procedures.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in DevOps and ensure seamless deployment pipelines.
