Description
Technical Product Manager – AI & Clinical Products (m/f/d)
Location: Fully Remote (Germany-wide)
Industry: HealthTech / B2B SaaS
Compensation: €60,000 – €90,000 + strong equity package
Languages Required: Professional German (C1) & English (C1)
About the Role & Mission
We relieve psychotherapists of administrative burdens through intelligent AI assistance, giving them more time for what matters most: working with patients and providing high-quality therapy.
As our first Technical Product Manager, you will take full end-to-end ownership of our AI-driven clinical and administrative product lines.
Operating 100% remotely across Germany, you will work at the exact intersection of cutting-edge LLM technology, psychotherapeutic workflows, and medical device regulation (EU MDR).
Working directly alongside the founders, CTO, clinical scientists, and designers, you will write the specs, run the discovery, shape the AI evaluation systems, and drive new product lines from concept to launch.
What You Will Do
End-to-End Ownership: Take full responsibility for product discovery, specification, prioritization, delivery, and adoption across therapeutic and administrative surfaces in a remote-first setup.Roadmap Strategy: Define, prioritize, and communicate what we build and why, making clear trade-offs across current and new product initiatives.Deep User Discovery: Conduct remote and on-site discovery with psychotherapists—joining support/sales calls, observing real documentation workflows, and translating complex domain pain points into crisp problem statements.AI Quality & Evaluation Systems: Partner with clinical science and engineering teams to establish hard and soft quality criteria for AI-generated notes and reports.
Help convert these into prompts, inputs, and test sets that scale across therapy modalities.Technical Specifications & Prototyping: Write detailed specs and edge-case failure modes engineers can build from.
Use AI tools to independently prototype concepts rather than waiting for engineering proof-of-concepts.Regulatory Integration (EU MDR): Design for regulatory compliance (SaMD / EU MDR) from the first draft, embedding risk analysis and clinical evaluation directly into product development.Launch & Iterate: Scope, launch, and track adoption for new features and product lines alongside go-to-market teams, iterating rapidly based on user feedback.
What We Are Looking For
Must-Haves:
4+ years of Product Management experience in B2B software where the core challenge was product complexity rather than routine process management.Proven track record in complex/regulated environments: Demonstrated success building and launching products within highly complex, multidisciplinary domains (such as Healthcare/HealthTech, MedTech, or heavily regulated industries).
You can confidently navigate intersecting demands across regulatory frameworks (EU MDR), expert users (psychotherapists), strict quality/user requirements, and technical AI possibilities.Hands-on LLM understanding: Working knowledge of how LLM-based products behave, including prompting, evaluation, failure modes, and what makes a feature reliably production-ready.Exceptional written communication: Outstanding clarity in asynchronous specs, problem statements, and decision memos—critical for driving product execution in a fully remote team.Hands-on execution & rigor: You naturally write specs, test cases, and review generated clinical outputs yourself to ensure production quality.Language Skills: Professional proficiency in both German (C1) and English (C1).Location: Based in Germany for fully remote work.
Nice-to-Haves:
Direct experience with digital health or software as a medical device (EU MDR, IEC 62304).Background or strong familiarity in psychology, psychotherapy, or clinical practice.Track record of shipping LLM features into production or building evaluation systems for generative content at scale.Experience as a first product hire or establishing a product management discipline from scratch (0-to-1 product development).
Core Values & Mindset
Empathy: We build for people who help others.
We listen deeply to ensure our tools simplify practice rather than complicate it.Trust: We operate with uncompromising security, transparency, and reliability regarding patient data and team collaboration.Quality: We focus on professional precision and technical excellence over gimmicks—our AI must stand up to rigorous everyday therapeutic use.Autonomy & Proactivity: High diligence, strong self-direction, and a deep care for user outcomes in an asynchronous, remote-first environment.
What We Offer
High Impact: Direct access to founders/CTO as the first product hire with full ownership over core products.Meaningful Work: Alleviate the heavy administrative workload of psychotherapists so they can focus on patient care.Unmatched Learning Curve: Combine state-of-the-art LLM development with clinical science and EU MDR regulatory strategy.Rapid Iteration: Fast decision-making with features moving from design to production deployment within days.Flexibility & Perks: Fully remote setup within Germany, flexible working hours, 28 days of vacation, competitive base salary (€60,000 – €90,000), and a strong equity package.
