In this role you will design, develop, and enhance custom software solutions that support our business operations and customer experience. You will play key role in building and maintaining applications, integrations, and technology platforms that enable scalable and efficient service delivery. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver secure, high-performing, and innovative software solutions while supporting and improving existing systems What you’ll be doing Software Development & Support Design and develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and Express.js.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutionsMaintain and support existing applications, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.Build and support RESTful APIs and integrations with external systems and services.Optimise applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.Debug and resolve technical issues and bugs as they ariseProduce clean, efficient, and maintainable code in line with business requirementsTest and deploy programs and systemsProvide on-call support as required.Develop and implement enhancements to existing software and systems.Gather and evaluate user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.Recommend and implement innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.Create technical documentation for reference, reporting and training documentationStay current with emerging technologies and development best practices. What are we looking for Demonstrated experience 2 + years with Node.js and Express.js to build integration and web applicationsStrong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.Experience designing and developing Open API and RESTful API design principles.Experience with database technologies such as MongoDB and MySQL.Experience using Google suite of tools and all modern contemporary “cloud native” architectureExperience with source code version control systems (e.g. Git).Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML and CSS.Experience working with microservices architecture.Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and serverless architecture.Understanding of authentication and authorisation frameworks.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and system optimisation capabilitiesRelevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a related field are desirable but no essential.Experience working in Transport/Logistics industry is an advantage Personal Attributes Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.High attention to detail and commitment to quality.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative approach.Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement focus.Adaptable, flexible, and willing to contribute beyond core responsibilities.Passion for learning new technologies and industry trends.
