Senior Full Stack Engineer

C#/ReactAPI DesignAI Augmented Development Role Summary The primary focus is full-stack.Net/React development, system architecture, and API design, with frontend (React) capability mandatory. The role will initially lead delivery of API-first projects (internal and external) and progressively take ownership of broader platform architecture and technical standards. The expectation is that this person writes production code daily, leads by example, and provides technical direction through execution and sprint delivery, engaging directly with the Product team. Reporting Line Reports to: Development Manager, Assigned Product Manager What This Role Is (and Is Not) This is: A senior engineer who can also lead by exampleDeeply technical, on-the-toolsAccountable for delivery quality and architectureComfortable switching between coding, design, and technical decision-making Key Responsibilities Core Development (Primary) Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and servicesLead development of RESTful and event-driven APIs (internal and external)Write high-quality, testable, maintainable production codeDrive backend and frontend performance, reliability, and securityActively use AI development tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT, code generation, test generation) to improve velocity and qualityProvide technical input as required to other developers through:Code reviewsPairingArchitecture and design guidanceUphold engineering standards (code quality, testing, documentation)Help support development practices around:CI/CDAutomated testingAPI lifecycle managementIdentify technical risks early and address them pragmatically Delivery & Ownership Own delivery of assigned projects end-to-endBalance speed vs quality-make trade-offs explicitWork closely with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into working softwareInvestigate, diagnose, and resolve complex system issuesEnsure solutions are scalable, extensible, and supportable Required Technical Skills (Non-Negotiable) Fullstack & Architecture Strong commercial experience with .NET (.NET Core / ASP.NET)Expert-level C#Highly experienced with ReactStrong understanding of object-oriented and domain-driven designProven experience designing and building RESTful APIsExperience with scalable, multi-tenant systemsStrong SQL skills (Postgres and/or SQL Server)Experience with cloud-hosted databases (e.g. AWS RDS) Frontend (Supporting Skillset) Solid working knowledge of ReactStrong HTML5 / CSS3 fundamentalsComfortable contributing to frontend codebases Engineering Practices Automated testing (unit, integration)CI/CD pipelinesCode reviews and quality gatesVersion control (Git)Documentation that developers actually use AI-Assisted Development Highly experienced with using AI tools to accelerate developmentUnderstands where AI helps and where human judgement is requiredAble to integrate AI-generated output safely into production systems Experience & Profile 7+ years of commercial software development experienceProven senior-level contributor on production systemsComfortable in a small team where ownership is unavoidablePragmatic, delivery-focused, low-egoCan “walk and chew gum”: code, think, and lead simultaneously What Success Looks Like APIs delivered cleanly, on time, and adoptedHave a healthy working relationship with Product Management team by managing expectations and delivery on estimates on feature releasesCodebase improves, not degrades, over timeMeet Ai Augmented delivery expectations with no impact on architectureDevelopment Manager spends less time firefighting technical issuesArchitecture decisions age well How to Apply If this is you, please apply below with your up-to-date CV.
