Job Description Software Engineer, Spherical Imaging & Computer Vision Join a team developing advanced spherical imaging technology used to capture and transform complex visual data into actionable insights. As a Software Engineer on the Ladybug team, you will take ownership of critical software and imaging technologies that power industry-leading panoramic imaging systems. This is a hands-on engineering role with broad technical scope. You will work across SDK development, image processing, camera calibration, focusing, image quality analysis, and next-generation product development while collaborating with experts in hardware, optics, firmware, production, and product management. What you'll do Develop and enhance the Ladybug SDK for Windows and Linux.Build high-performance image processing pipelines for panoramic image generation.Improve software performance through GPU acceleration and optimisation.Investigate and resolve software, image quality, and customer-reported issues.Apply modern development tools and AI-assisted workflows to improve engineering efficiency.Lead development of camera calibration and focusing algorithms.Create image quality metrics, validation methods, and analysis tools.Contribute to architecture, design reviews, and technical feasibility studies.Evaluate emerging imaging, sensor, optics, and computer vision technologies.Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver new product capabilities. What you need Required: Strong modern C++ software development skills.Required: Experience with image processing, computer vision, or scientific computing.Required: Windows and Linux development experience.Required: Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Required: 5+ years of professional software development experience.Advantage: Experience with OpenCV, CUDA, GPU computing, calibration, photogrammetry, or multi-camera systems.Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
