Job Description
The Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Maldives.
The worksite is the organization’s head office in Malé City, Maldives.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Lead Developer and solution architects to shape system design — service boundaries, domain models, API contracts, and resilience strategy.Build and maintain enterprise backend services, web applications and cross platform applications using C#, .NET and Entity Framework.Design and develop REST and real-time (SignalR) APIs, plus event-driven flows using message brokers such as Azure Service Bus.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and architectural patterns.Work across SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Redis — schema design, query tuning, and migrations included.Optimize performance through profiling, caching, load testing, and efficient async patterns.Secure applications with OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect, Azure AD (Entra ID), Key Vault, and OWASP-aligned coding practices.Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.Write unit, integration, and contract tests and wire them into automated pipelines.Participate in code reviews, debug production issues, and contribute to root cause analysis.Work in an Agile team — sprint planning, stand-ups, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives — breaking epics into estimated, trackable tasks.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Minimum 3 years of experience in software application development.
Preferred Requirements
Experience in .NET Framework and .NET Core developmentProficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and RESTful API development.Experience with SQL Server, Entity Framework, and database design.Hands-on experience with cloud services (Azure preferred, or AWS/GCP)Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
