About The Role
The University of Washington is seeking a dedicated Web Developer to join the College of Arts and Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance websites and web applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.Design and implement new website features, functionalities, and user interfaces based on user feedback and usability standards.Conduct cross-platform testing to ensure websites are compatible, functional, and performant across various devices and browsers.Evaluate technical feasibility of new projects and ensure adherence to accessibility, security, and privacy policies.Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and campus standards to continuously improve web offerings.Integrate third-party tools and internal web applications to streamline processes and improve service delivery.Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, code, and processes to support ongoing development and troubleshooting.Support users by responding to support requests, troubleshooting issues, and providing training through workshops or individual sessions.Implement and reinforce web security measures, including CMS hardening, patch management, and access controls.Assist with platform updates, infrastructure changes, and compliance with regulations related to web applications.Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand requirements, improve workflows, and translate needs into technical solutions.Participate in project management activities, including planning, resource allocation, and timeline management for web projects.Contribute to web strategy discussions, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure alignment with university goals.Perform other duties as assigned to support the college’s web development efforts.
