Job Responsibilities Day-to-day management and support of both Azure and AWS environments, applications, and processesClosely collaborate with development, data, and QA teams to implement best practices and automation, with security, scalability, and operability in mindArchitect, explore and evaluate new technologies contributing to systems design and deployment of new products/releasesDevelop tools to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor and troubleshoot application stacks and critical infrastructureEnsure high reliability and performance of application infrastructureReview incoming platform alerts and handle or escalate the alerts within a defined SLAHelp define and enforce policies and procedures around security, deployments, and cloud infrastructure, with an emphasis on industry best practicesPlanning and orchestrating migration of data and applications between cloud providers Candidate Profile 5+ years of software/engineering experience as a senior contributor3+ years each of DevOps/Solutions experience working with Azure and AWS in production SaaS environmentsDemonstrate command of both Azure and AWS technologies in multiple areas: compute, network, storage, database, serverless, security, application monitoring and spend monitoringCloud network architecting and build-outExcellent scripting skills and proficiency in Python, SQLExperience with automated infrastructure provisioning (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), Docker containers, and related orchestration tools as well as configuration management technologyDatabase administration knowledge and a history of applying DevOps principals to database workloads is a plusHands-on experience and understanding of modernizing cloud applicationsAbility to independently solve problems and build robust solutions and enjoy working with minimal supervision within an Agile/Scrum environmentAbility to support the development teams and evangelize DevOps culture and practicesExperience implementing automated deployments pipelinesStrong troubleshooting skills spanning code, systems, security, networking, log aggregation, etc.Must enjoy collaborative problem solving, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate attention to detailTrack record of keeping up with new cloud technologies, languages, security, standards, and practicesDisaster Recovery / High Availability design and deployment across regions is a plusCommunication skills as an excellence – both expression and listeningAbility to work autonomously and with your team-matesGrounded self-esteem with willingness to share your ideas and solutions Compensation, Benefits And Work Authorization In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
