VP Full Stack Engineer – Angular & Solidity (smart contracts on Ethereum/blockchain)
Location: London, hybrid working (4 days per week onsite)
Duration: 12-month initial contract
Rate: £632.91 per day PAYE or up to £750 per day Umbrella (Inside IR35)
We are recruiting experienced VP Full Stack Engineer – Angular & Solidity) for a long-term contract opportunity with a leading global financial services organisation in London.
This is a hands-on full stack engineering role focused on designing, developing, testing and supporting enterprise applications.
You will work across the full software development lifecycle and collaborate closely with engineers, business users, project managers and data teams to deliver secure, scalable and high-quality technology solutions.
The role offers the opportunity to contribute to both front-end and back-end development while helping drive engineering best practices across the team.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain complex enterprise applicationsExecute the full software development lifecycle from requirements through to deployment and production supportGather requirements and contribute to BRD and SRD documentationDevelop well-designed, testable and efficient codeBuild and maintain automated testing and quality assurance solutionsParticipate actively in code reviews and promote engineering best practicesTroubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing applications and platformsSupport production environments and resolve technical issuesIntegrate software components into fully functional software systemsDevelop technical documentation, flowcharts and solution designsApply security, privacy and change management principles throughout the development lifecycleContribute to the reduction of technical debt and continuous improvement initiativesMentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the teamCollaborate with engineers, business stakeholders, project managers and data teams to deliver elegant technical solutionsSupport deployment activities and ongoing maintenance of existing systems and platforms
Essential Experience
Strong commercial software development experienceProven experience across both front-end and back-end developmentExperience with technologies such as C#, Java, JavaScript, Angular and Node.jsStrong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JSONExperience working with application development frameworksExperience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and KubernetesExperience throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Knowledge of test automation, software testing and quality assurance practicesExperience participating in code reviews and technical design discussionsStrong problem-solving and stakeholder management skillsExperience supporting and maintaining production applicationsAbility to mentor junior developers and contribute to team developmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience
