ABOUT PMP STRATEGY
PMP Strategy is an international strategy consulting firm helping executive teams turn strategic ambition into measurable results.
We combine strategic advisory, technology, data and AI expertise to help clients design and deliver transformations across technology-intensive industries.
Agentix Studio is PMP Strategy's dedicated data and AI delivery team.
Our experienced team designs and delivers business applications, AI solutions and agentic systems for clients.
We are strengthening our software engineering capabilities to take POCs and MVPs into robust, scalable and maintainable production products.
THE ROLE
As Lead Software & DevOps Engineer, you will help our CTO and the Agentix Studio team turn the POCs and MVPs we build into production-grade software products.
You will work with PMP Strategy consultants, who bring the business and sector expertise, and with client technical teams.
You will lead software delivery, deployment, operations and maintenance, while helping develop the software engineering layer of our agentic delivery model.
The CTO retains responsibility for overall technology architecture, infrastructure strategy, product and use-case roadmap, and overall technical direction.
You will take ownership of selected areas of engineering execution and product delivery.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Industrialise and operate production-grade software
- Translate business requirements into reliable digital products and AI-powered applications with PMP Strategy consultants.
- Design and implement software components, services, MCP/API integrations, workflows and agentic applications.
- Take POCs and MVPs to an industrial standard, covering architecture, code quality, security, performance, scalability and resilience.
- Supervise delivery from prototype to production and establish reusable delivery patterns.
- Apply sound practices for testing, versioning, CI/CD, release management, deployment, monitoring and documentation.
- Support deployments in client environments and guide client teams through integration, go-live and handover.
- Diagnose production incidents and manage reliability, technical debt, dependencies, model upgrades and security updates.
- Maintain and continuously improve applications after go-live.
- Coach the Studio's data engineers on software engineering, DevOps and production practices.
2.
Develop the Agentix Studio's agentic software engineering capability
- Define practical standards for agent-assisted software development.
- Establish reusable project templates, repository structures, context files and workflows.
- Help consultants and engineers use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, Devin, GitHub Copilot or equivalent tools effectively.
- Design agentic coding pipelines for planning, implementation, code review, testing and documentation.
- Define human review and quality gates, and develop patterns for orchestration, tool use, MCP integration and workflow automation.
- Improve the reliability, security, observability and cost control of agentic applications.
- Create reusable components, deployment patterns and evaluation methods.
- Share best practices across the Studio and support the CTO on software engineering technology choices.
3.
Help clients evolve their software development lifecycle
- Assess how clients design, build, test, review and deploy software.
- Identify opportunities to introduce agentic coding safely and effectively.
- Design workflows combining developers, coding agents and human quality gates.
- Help clients select and configure coding tools and models.
- Define standards for context engineering, code review, testing and agent governance.
- Support pilot teams as they move from experimentation to repeatable delivery.
- Extend agentic workflows into testing, integration, documentation, release management and maintenance.
- Coach client developers and technical leads, and contribute to recommendations, workshops and executive presentations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential development experience
- 7 to 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant production delivery.
- Strong experience designing, building, deploying and maintaining software used by real users or customers.
- Strong software delivery, DevOps and platform skills, including testing, CI/CD, observability, cloud services, containers, infrastructure as code, secrets management and secure deployment pipelines.
- Proven experience taking POCs or MVPs into robust, production-grade solutions.
- Recent, meaningful experience with agentic coding or agentic software development pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, Devin, GitHub Copilot, Aider or equivalent.
- Credentials showing that agentic coding was part of a real engineering workflow, not only an isolated experiment.
- Experience delivering AI-powered or agentic applications into production.
- Ability to review code and technical designs, set engineering standards and guide other engineers.
- Full professional fluency in English, written and spoken.
Consulting and client-facing experience
Previous experience in consulting, technology consulting, professional services or another highly client-facing environment is close to essential.
You should be comfortable running workshops, interviewing technical teams, understanding client constraints, explaining complex topics clearly, turning analysis into recommendations, presenting to senior stakeholders and guiding a client through deployment and production adoption.
Background
We are particularly interested in candidates from an agentic AI startup, a fast-growing technology company, a digital product company with high production standards, a developer productivity or AI infrastructure team, or a leading technology or AI company such as Google, Uber, Datadog, OpenAI, Anthropic or equivalent.
Experience working in a startup environment is especially valuable.
THE IDEAL PROFILE
You are a technically deep software engineer who can design and build software, debug production issues, review code and make applications deployable.
You can also understand a client's operating model, structure a recommendation and help a team change the way it works.
You are excited about agentic coding without being driven by hype.
You understand that reliable agentic software requires the right context, testing, review, security, deployment, observability and maintenance.
You enjoy working with consultants, data engineers and business experts, and can communicate effectively with CTOs, technical teams and senior clients.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience, qualifications, location and overall profile.
- Partially remote working, preferably from Paris or Dubai.
Fully remote arrangements may be considered for an exceptional profile.
- The opportunity to join a senior data and AI team within an international strategy consulting firm.
- The chance to work at the intersection of software engineering, AI, consulting and digital product delivery.
- Direct collaboration with the CTO, PMP Strategy consultants, client executives and client engineering teams.
- The opportunity to build production-grade applications and shape the software engineering practices of a growing agentic AI capability.
- International projects across Europe, the Middle East and other markets.
- Significant autonomy, technical influence and room to grow.
LOCATION AND WORKING MODEL
We prefer a partially remote working model with regular interaction with the Agentix Studio and client teams.
We are particularly interested in candidates based in Paris or elsewhere in France, Dubai or the wider UAE, and the United Kingdom.
Other locations may be considered depending on the candidate and employment setup.
Fully remote work is possible for an exceptional profile, provided the candidate can collaborate effectively across time zones.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project and client needs.
HOW TO APPLY
Please send us your CV and a short note answering this question: What is the most complex AI or software application you have helped take from POC or MVP into production, and what did you do to keep it reliable after launch? Include one example of an agentic coding or AI-assisted software development pipeline you have worked with.
PMP Strategy is an equal opportunity employer.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds.
