As a Senior Software Engineer in our Interfaces domain, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the central nervous system of our product, Adcubum Syrius.
You will provide a best-practice foundation for our business development teams.
Tasks
Designing and developing synchronous (REST/OpenAPI, SOAP) and asynchronous (event-driven) communication solutions with a focus on API-first principles.Developing and maintaining our future event-driven ecosystem built on Kafka.Building integration adapters for various internal and external systems.Maintaining and enhancing existing integration frameworks and components.Contributing to platform modernization initiatives (e.g., technology upgrades, legacy system refactoring).
Requirements
A degree in computer science or a similar qualification.5+ years of experience as a software engineer with a focus on system integration or backend development.Strong programming skills in Java.Experience with Apache Kafka or RedHat AMQ broker / Apache Artemis.Experience in the Jakarta EE or Spring ecosystem.Experience with Docker.Experience with SOAP, OpenAPI, or Protobuf.Experience with AI coding assistants to accelerate service integrations, while maintaining senior-level governance over architecture, testing, performance, and security.Fluent English; knowledge of German is a plus.
Nice To Have
Familiarity with container-based platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).Experience designing event-driven architectures and event-based integration patterns (e.g., CQRS, CDC).Experience with Gradle.Experience with Confluent Cloud / Confluent Platform.
