Job's mission
As a Senior Engineer I, Manufacturing Quality at ASM, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality and manufacturing excellence across ASM's manufacturing network.
Working closely with Contract Manufacturers, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Global Quality teams, you will drive quality improvements, lead problem-solving activities, and strengthen quality systems that support reliable product delivery and customer satisfaction.
This role offers the opportunity to influence manufacturing quality performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic semiconductor equipment environment.
What you will be working on
Lead investigations of manufacturing non-conformances, customer complaints, and field quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies
Drive containment actions, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and effectiveness verification to prevent recurrence
Partner with Contract Manufacturers and internal stakeholders to improve manufacturing quality performance through data analysis, risk assessment, and continuous improvement activities
Develop and optimize inspection plans, quality control processes, workmanship standards, and quality monitoring methods
Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with ASM quality requirements and customer expectations
Support internal, certification, supplier, and customer audits, and ensure timely closure of audit findings and improvement actions
Perform periodic quality assessments of Contract Manufacturers and suppliers, including ISO 9001 compliance evaluations and follow-up activities
Promote operational excellence through the application of quality tools and methodologies to improve product quality and manufacturing performance
What we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, or a related manufacturing environment
Experience leading quality investigations and applying structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis
Hands-on experience supporting internal audits, certification audits, supplier audits, and/or customer audits
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret quality data and drive improvement actions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Proficiency in written and spoken English
What sets you apart
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification
Experience within the semiconductor equipment, electronics manufacturing, or other high-tech manufacturing industries
Experience working directly with Contract Manufacturers and supplier quality management processes
Knowledge of quality and operational excellence methodologies, including FMEA, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, PDCA, Six Sigma, and 8D Problem Solving
Experience driving quality escalation management and cross-functional corrective action programs
Understanding of manufacturing processes, product lifecycle quality management, and customer-focused quality systems
