Hertfordshire£35,000 - £45,000, depending on experience A growing Hertfordshire-based beauty brand, supplying major retailers across the UK and Europe, is looking for a Product Developer to join the team. You'll manage development from initial concept through to production, working closely with factories, suppliers and compliance to get products to market on time and to spec, for a business that's going from strength to strength. What you'll be doing: Negotiating product costs with factories to secure the best possible pricingIdentifying product and packaging solutions that meet customer needs and hit target costsWorking with factories to take products from concept visuals through to first samplesLiaising with compliance teams to ensure products meet licensor and regulatory requirementsCoordinating, inspecting and approving samples, components and cutter guidesWriting artwork briefs from scratch, covering all copy, compliance and product informationReviewing and sign-off on final artwork against the brief before it goes to factoriesManaging factory relationships, making sure all required information is provided fully and on timeManaging critical paths and timelines to hit business and customer deadlinesKeeping an eye on beauty and gifting trends, and bringing ideas to the table for new product development What we're looking for: At least 3 years' experience in buying or product developmentBackground in beauty, cosmetics or gifting is idealExperience with licensed products is a bonus, but not essentialConfidence negotiating with factories on cost, quality and lead timesStrong organisational skills, comfortable juggling multiple projects and critical pathsA sharp eye for detail across artwork, compliance and product specificationGenuine enthusiasm for beauty and gifting trends, with ideas of your own to bring to NPD ILMJ values diversity, equality and inclusion, and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and identities.
