Description

Role OverviewAs a Software Engineer Intern, you will help design, build, and maintain the software layer that powers Project Nyx. You will work on user-centric web dashboards, mobile application interfaces, and secure backend pipelines connecting local NVIDIA Jetson edge devices to real-time notification pathways. Key ResponsibilitiesDashboard & App Development: Build and refine responsive web dashboards (React, Node.js) and mobile application interfaces for real-time incident monitoring, live feed status, and event playback.Backend & API Pipelines: Develop scalable RESTful/WebSocket APIs to ingest metadata from local NVIDIA Jetson units and push instant, severity-rated security alerts.System Integration: Connect outputs from the Nyx Anomaly Scoring Engine into intuitive event summaries and user-facing alert workflows.Cloud & Edge Infrastructure: Manage local event storage pipelines and optional cloud backup infrastructure built on Microsoft Azure.Software Quality & Architecture: Apply modern engineering practices, automated testing, version control (Git), and security fundamentals to maintain platform reliability. Requirements & Qualifications• Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a STEM field. • Hands-on programming experience in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Node.js. • Familiarity with web application development (React / REST APIs) and database systems (SQL / NoSQL). • Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure) and version control tools (Git). • Strong problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for building real-world safety products.
