Backend Developer (Kotlin) Want to build the cloud platform that powers digital access for hotels around the world? Every day, hotels rely on secure digital access to manage guests, staff, and connected services. At ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions in Stockholm, our Hospitality R&D team develops the cloud-native platforms behind there experiences. We are looking for you, who wants to take ownership, work close to the product, and build solutions used by hospitality customers across the globe. This is an opportunity to make a real impact while working in a collaborative team that values innovation and continuous development. What You Would Do As Our Backend Developer You would help design, build, and evolve the cloud-based services that power digital access, permissions, and identity management across our Vostio hospitality platform. Your work would span software development, cloud infrastructure, production operations, and continuous improvement, giving you the opportunity to contribute to a critical product area. You would join a small, high-impact team responsible for the services, APIs, and integrations that enable hotels to manage access rights and user identities securely. You would also: Build cloud-native backend services — Design and develop Kotlin-based services that support digital access, permissions, and identity management. Own core platform functionality — Deliver features that enable hotels to manage access rights, user permissions, and authentication capabilities from design through production. Build APIs and integrations — Create and evolve APIs, integrations, and microservice-based capabilities that connect products, customers, and internal systems across the hospitality ecosystem. Design cloud-native solutions on AWS — Build scalable and resilient services using AWS, automation, and modern CI/CD practices. Take responsibility beyond coding — You would be involved in technical design discussions, production support, continuous improvement initiatives, and helping shape how the platform evolves over time. The Skills And Experience You Need We are looking for someone with: Experience building backend systems in Kotlin, Java, or Golang. Hands-on experience designing, deploying and operating solutions in AWS. Experience with microservice-based, distributed, or integration-heavy systems, including strong API design skills. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern software engineering practices, combined with a pragmatic engineering mindset. The ability to simplify complex technical problems, communicate clearly, and take ownership of outcomes. Nice to have: AWS services such as Cognito, ECS, SNS/SQS or CloudFormation; experience with SaaS platforms, or access management solutions. Why developers join and stay Small team, meaningful impact.
