We are hiring: Senior Software Engineer at immobilien.de (Berlin)
immobilien.de is one of the most established real estate brands online.
Over the past year we rebuilt the platform completely: from a classic listing portal into an agentic search infrastructure, readable for AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini, with clear attribution for brokers.
The rebuild is done.
Now comes the interesting part: finding product-market fit in the era of agentic search and social communication, on an architecture built for speed and scale.
What you will do:
• Shape the dialog search experience and the agent-facing interfaces (structured data, knowledge layer, MCP) together with the team
• Build the foundations to capture demand where it now originates: AI agents, feeds, communities
• Keep the architecture fast, reliable and cost-efficient; in agentic search, latency and reliability are product features
• Work closely with Management, brokers and searchers; the best decisions here come from what partners and users actually need
• Set the technical bar in a small, senior engineering team with a hands-on, low-ego culture
Who you are:
• 5+ years in engineering, ideally with team leadership or end-to-end system ownership
• Experience with consumer-facing products at scale: search, marketplaces or high-traffic platforms
• You have shipped with LLMs in production and know the difference between a demo and a product
• You listen as well as you architect: feedback from brokers, searchers and teammates shapes what you build
• Fluent English; German is a plus, not a requirement
