About The Role The Intermediate Front End Developer role at Smile Digital Health is a vital technical position focused on supporting the development and maintenance of the user-facing components of the Clinical Intelligence platform. This role is responsible for creating a seamless, intuitive, and high-performance user experience by translating design concepts into functional, interactive interfaces. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and product managers, to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement features that meet the company's standards for quality and usability. Additionally, the role involves participating in architectural discussions, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring code quality through rigorous testing and code reviews. Qualifications 5+ years of software development experience with Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Git.Proven experience in building scalable and responsive web applications.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; or equivalent professional experience.Deep understanding of Angular core concepts such as state management, observables, interceptors, and routing.Experience working within agile and scrum methodologies.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective teamwork and documentation.Familiarity with tools such as Slack, Google technologies, Figma, Jira, GitLab, Postman, Microsoft Azure, Jasmine/Karma, Cordova/Ionic, REST APIs, Bootstrap.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and networking is preferred.Knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7 and FHIR is an asset but not mandatory. Responsibilities Support the design, scope, milestones, and solution architecture for responsive, scalable, and high-performance user interfaces.Collaborate with development teams to implement solutions through coding, component creation, and module development that align with project requirements.Write clean, manageable code along with comprehensive unit tests; maintain relevant documentation for front-end components.Participate in rigorous testing cycles, identify, and resolve defects to ensure high-quality deliverables.Develop a thorough understanding of the system’s functionality to provide ongoing support and improvements.Lead architectural discussions related to Angular front-end designs and mentor junior developers in best practices.Contribute to and uphold team coding standards to ensure consistency across projects.Engage in client meetings as needed to gather requirements and present progress updates.Conduct detailed code reviews, participate in pair programming, and collaborate on problem-solving initiatives with team members.Participate in monthly technology meetings to influence technical strategies, architecture, and process improvements.
