Senior DevOps Engineer (IoT Focus) Location: Remote, Italy-based candidates only The role We are supporting a growing technology team that is looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer to help design, improve, and scale modern cloud and on-premise platforms. This role would suit someone with a strong DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability background who enjoys working across Kubernetes environments, cloud infrastructure, automation, observability, and large-scale application platforms. Key Responsibilities Improve and evolve CI/CD and software delivery processesEnhance platform observability, monitoring, and reliabilityManage and optimise Kubernetes environments across cloud and on-premise infrastructureSupport high-availability and high-traffic applicationsContribute to infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code initiativesHelp drive DevOps best practices across engineering teamsMentor junior colleagues and share technical knowledgeEvaluate and introduce new technologies where appropriateRequirements Previous experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering rolesStrong experience with Kubernetes, including Red Hat OpenShiftExperience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and GKEExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesGood knowledge of Linux environmentsExperience with Infrastructure as Code and automation toolingExperience managing virtualised environments (VMware and/or KVM)Experience supporting high-scale, high-traffic applicationsExperience with Apache Kafka or other message broker technologiesScripting or programming experienceWhat's on Offer Fully remote working from anywhere in ItalyPermanent employment contractAccess to local company offices and hubs if preferredOpportunity to work on modern cloud and platform engineering challengesExposure to large-scale, business-critical environmentsLong-term career development within a growing technical team
