Company Overview Our client is a privately owned global engineering and construction company delivering major data centre projects for leading hyperscale clients across Germany. The business employs a diverse international workforce representing 57 nationalities. Role Overview The Site Engineer will support the delivery of civil, structural and architectural works on a major data centre project in Frankfurt. The role will focus on coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely, accurately and in accordance with the programme. There will be an initial setting out requirement, alongside broader responsibility for technical coordination, quality assurance and the management of designated work areas and construction packages. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate day-to-day construction activities across assigned work areas.Supervise subcontractors and monitor progress against programme requirements.Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.Coordinate with project managers, design teams, subcontractors and other engineering disciplines.Review construction drawings, raise RFIs and assist in resolving technical and site issues.Undertake inspections and quality checks, maintaining accurate records and supporting defect close-out.Support short-term planning and communicate labour, materials and access requirements.Monitor site progress and prepare reports for the wider project team.Assist with setting out and verification of dimensions and levels where required.Maintain as-built records and relevant project documentation.Ensure all works comply with health and safety procedures and project requirements. Experience and Qualifications Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.At least 3 to 5 years of site engineering experience on large-scale construction projects.Experience managing site activities, subcontractors or individual construction packages.Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and BIM information.Good understanding of inspections, quality assurance, RFIs and as-built documentation.Some practical setting out experience using Total Stations, GPS/GNSS or laser equipment.Data centre or mission-critical construction experience would be advantageous but is not essential.Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.Comfortable working within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.
