About the role This is a full-time position for a Lead Frontend Software Engineer to take technical ownership of the frontend architecture of our engineering application. The ideal candidate has experience leading the development of high-performance, data-heavy software used for analytics, simulation, scientific or engineering workflows. You will define the frontend architecture, establish engineering standards, and lead the continued evolution of a complex React and TypeScript application. The application is a complex engineering workspace, combining analytical workflows, large datasets, persistent user state, and interactive 2D/3D visualization. Data visualization is an important part of the product, but the broader responsibility is to deliver a reliable, maintainable, and intuitive application for demanding technical users. You will collaborate with domain experts, product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other developers to translate complex requirements into effective user experiences. The role combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, architectural decision-making, and long-term ownership of frontend quality and performance.
