Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript). 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms. Preferred qualifications: Understanding of the networking fundamentals, including IPv4/IPv6 addressing, CIDR notation, subnetting.Familiarity with distributed systems concepts such as RPC frameworks (gRPC, Protocol Buffers), microservice architectures, data consistency models, and multi-threading/concurrency.Knowledge of public cloud platforms and virtual networking concepts.Excellent communication and people-management skills to collaborate with cross functional partners. Contribute to all phases of software development from concept and design through implementation and testing to launch and landing.Develop, test, and maintain business logic for CIDR allocation algorithms, overlap detection and prefix reservations.Write comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end validations for all new code, ensuring regression-free releases, preventing IP collisions across peered VPC topologies.Participate in an on-call rotation, after having shadowed experienced engineers to learn incident response, mitigation protocols, and root-cause analysis.Work closely with cross-functional partners and teams.
