Role: Senior CIAM Software Engineer With NV1 Clearance 18 months contract, possible extension Based in QLD, ACT, VIC, or NSW -- About the Role: We’re seeking a Senior CIAM Software Engineer / Tech Lead to lead the hands-on delivery of a Consumer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) capability in a large, complex environment. You’ll be a technical leader who can build features, drive engineering best practice, solve hard integration problems, and mentor engineers to lift overall team capability. Key responsibilitiesLead technical implementation of CIAM solutions (hands-on delivery)Design solutions for complex CIAM challenges and integrationsBuild and maintain high-quality, maintainable code (incl. code reviews)Troubleshoot and resolve complex implementation issuesSupport estimation, refinement, planning and deliveryMentor and upskill engineers; promote strong engineering practicesCollaborate across teams to integrate CIAM with broader enterprise platformsLeverage modern approaches and emerging tech (including AI-assisted development) to improve productivity and qualityQualifications: With NV1 ClearanceAdvanced object-oriented programming with JavaScript & TypeScriptStrong unit + integration testing experience (e.g., Jest)Extensive CIAM delivery experience, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC)Integration/customisation experience with CIAM products preferably Ping/ForgeRockExperience with Auth0 or OktaExperience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or similar)Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical uplift in a teamExperience configuring/customising SaaS CIAM servicesExperience building/integrating microservices in cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP) Interested applicants may apply to the advert or send their resume to trisha.bornasal@peoplebank.com.au referring to job #272106.
