AKFA Aluminium Group is actively expanding its high-tech polymer manufacturing operations and scaling up a dedicated facility for surface protection film production.
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer / Technologist to lead technology optimization, drive quality standards, and oversee production processes for PE/PP protective films with controlled adhesion.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Manage and optimize film extrusion (cast/blown), surface treatment (corona), and adhesive coating processes for temporary protection films.Formulation & R&D: Develop and refine polymer formulations, masterbatch blending, and adhesive systems (acrylic/rubber-based) to ensure clean removal without adhesive residue on metals, glass, and plastic profiles.Quality Control: Monitor production metrics, identify surface/adhesion defects, and establish rigorous QC standards across all stages of production.Equipment & Commissioning: Collaborate with engineering teams during equipment setup, technology transfer, line tuning, and process validation.Efficiency & Waste Reduction: Implement Lean Manufacturing practices to minimize raw material waste, optimize cycle times, and increase yield.Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Degree in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.Experience: 3+ years of direct experience as a Process Engineer or Technologist in protective films, adhesive tapes, or specialized coated film manufacturing (strongly required).Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of PE/PP co-extrusion, corona treatment, adhesion chemistry, and adhesive transfer testing.Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting capability for blown/cast film extrusion line stability and surface quality issues.Languages: Working proficiency in English or Russian.What We Offer
