Join a major enterprise technology transformation and help modernise critical business applications within one of Australia’s largest and most sophisticated technology environments. We’re seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong Java and React expertise to contribute to a long-term application modernisation program. You’ll join a collaborative Agile team focused on building secure, scalable, cloud-ready applications while uplifting legacy platforms to improve performance, resilience and maintainability. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a significant enterprise transformation, leveraging modern technologies, contemporary engineering practices and a strong culture of technical excellence. The Role You’ll play a key role in designing, developing and enhancing enterprise applications across both frontend and backend technologies. Working alongside architects, engineers and product teams, you’ll help deliver high-quality software while driving application modernisation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and React.Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.Modernise legacy applications using contemporary engineering practices.Develop responsive, intuitive user interfaces.Produce clean, maintainable and well-tested code.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Collaborate closely with cross-functional Agile teams.Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies and technical discussions. About You You’ll bring: Strong commercial experience with Java (11/17+) and Spring Boot.Proven experience developing applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.Experience building REST APIs and microservices.Strong understanding of modern software architecture and design principles.Experience with SQL databases.Exposure to AWS, Azure or GCP.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Git.Experience working within Agile delivery teams.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Desirable Experience Application modernisation or legacy uplift projects.DevSecOps or enterprise security initiatives.NoSQL databases.Secure software development practices (OWASP).
