Middleware Developer – IBM App Connect Enterprise & IBM MQ Location: Muscat, Oman Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 5+ Years Joining: Immediate Joiners Preferred Technology: IBM App Connect Enterprise v13, IBM MQ 9.4 About the Role We are looking for an experienced Middleware Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise middleware development and integration. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) v13 and IBM MQ 9.4, with the ability to design, develop, deploy, troubleshoot, and support enterprise integration solutions across multiple applications and platforms. The candidate will work closely with application teams, architects, business stakeholders, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure integration solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, configure, and maintain middleware integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise v13.Develop and maintain message flows, integration services, and APIs using IBM ACE.Work extensively with IBM MQ 9.4 for enterprise messaging and application integration.Configure and manage MQ queues, channels, queue managers, listeners, and related messaging components.Develop integrations between applications, databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.Implement message transformation, routing, validation, enrichment, and error-handling mechanisms.Develop and support REST/SOAP-based integrations and web services.Work with different message formats including JSON, XML, and other enterprise messaging formats.Troubleshoot integration failures, message-processing issues, connectivity problems, and production incidents.Perform deployment, configuration, testing, and release activities across development, testing, and production environments.Monitor middleware components and proactively identify and resolve performance or availability issues.Collaborate with solution architects and development teams to understand integration requirements and technical specifications.Participate in SIT, UAT, production deployment, and post-production support activities.Follow enterprise security, coding, documentation, change-management, and deployment standards.Prepare technical documentation for integration flows, configurations, and operational procedures.Support continuous improvement, automation, performance optimization, and middleware best practices. Required Technical Skills IBM App Connect Enterprise IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) v13 – MandatoryStrong hands-on experience developing and supporting ACE message flows.Experience with integration patterns, message transformation, routing, and exception handling.Experience with REST and SOAP integrations.Knowledge of ESQL and/or Java-based development within ACE.Experience with API and service integration. IBM MQ IBM MQ 9.4 – MandatoryStrong understanding of IBM MQ architecture and messaging concepts.Hands-on experience with queues, queue managers, channels, listeners, and message handling.Experience troubleshooting MQ connectivity and messaging issues.Understanding of MQ security, availability, and performance considerations.
