We design, maintain, and evolve the cloud platform that keeps our services secure, scalable, and lightning-fast. Now we’re taking the next step: bringing AI into the heart of our platform. That means giving our product teams safe, governed, developer-friendly access to LLMs and shared AI capabilities — and we’d love your help to make it happen. What you’ll be doing You’ll play a key role in building and running our cloud platform, with a mix of infrastructure engineering, automation, and AI enablement. Here’s some of the things you’ll be working on: Shape our cloud platform: Build and operate core infrastructure in Azure — especially AKS and Azure PaaS services.Enable AI across the company: Extend the platform with secure, well-governed AI capabilities that make it easy (and responsible!) for teams to use LLMs and shared AI services.Write infrastructure as code: Use Terraform and/or Bicep to create modular, reusable infra that’s fully version-controlled.Automate where possible: Use GitOps tooling like Argo CD, Helm, and Kustomize to deliver platform changes quickly and safely.Keep things secure: Own identity and access patterns, secrets management, and network controls using Azure-native and Kubernetes primitives.Make it reliable: Build for high availability, safe rollouts, and cost-efficient scaling.Collaborate closely: Work with architecture, product, and security teams to translate needs into platform capabilities that just work.Keep improving: Help shape our internal standards and platform roadmaps as we grow. Skills & Requirements We're looking for a senior cloud engineer who is pragmatic, collaborative, and passionate about building reliable platforms. You don’t need to tick every box, but we think you'll thrive if you have: Strong hands-on experience running production workloads in Azure, especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform as a core toolConfidence designing, evolving, and maintaining reusable Terraform modules and cloud foundationsSolid understanding of Kubernetes, networking, identity, security, and observability in AzureExperience with CI/CD, GitOps workflows, and automated infrastructure deliveryA focus on secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud platformsFamiliarity with autoscaling, cost optimisation, and capacity managementGreat communication skills and a collaborative, down-to-earth styleA bias for automation, simplification, and measurable impact About the company We make payments very, very simple.
