About The Role We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our client’s dynamic engineering team in Manchester City Centre. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge, cloud-hosted web platforms used by prominent clients. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing scalable, secure, and high-performance applications, contributing across the entire software development lifecycle. The role involves working on backend services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure, with opportunities to engage in frontend development as well. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and fellow engineers, you will help shape the future of the company’s digital offerings. This position is ideal for someone passionate about modern engineering practices and eager to grow their skills within a supportive and innovative environment. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing modern web applications, with a strong understanding of backend and cloud technologies. Proficiency in C# and .NET/.NET Core is essential, along with experience in TypeScript. Familiarity with REST API development, cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure, and a solid grasp of software engineering best practices are required. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for clean, maintainable code, and have experience working within collaborative Agile teams. While expertise in both C#/.NET and TypeScript is preferred, candidates with strong skills in one and exposure to the other will also be considered. A proactive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a desire to continuously learn and improve are highly valued. Responsibilities Develop and maintain modern web applications using C#/.NET and TypeScript, ensuring high quality and performance.Build and enhance REST APIs, backend services, and third-party integrations to support application functionality.Contribute to cloud-based applications hosted within Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability and security.Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product teams to deliver new features that meet business requirements.Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and participate in code reviews to uphold software quality standards.Support the design of scalable, secure, and performant application architectures.Engage in technical discussions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering team.
