(Strong Core Java Engineers / Non-Algo Trading Backgrounds Welcome) Our investment banking client is seeking an exceptional Java Developer. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize next-generation, algorithmic trading engines, smart order routers (SOR), and market-making platforms powering their global desks. Key Responsibilities Architect and implement high-throughput, sub-millisecond execution algorithms and automated trading strategies.Profile and tune JVM, OS kernel, and application code for zero-garbage collection patterns and minimal latency jitter.Build high-performance market access connectors to global exchanges and broker venues using FIX and native binary protocols.Maintain micro-benchmarking suites and latency tracking frameworks across the entire order lifecycle. Core Technical Qualifications Deep expertise in Core Java internals (Java Memory Model, lock-free data structures, off-heap memory management, and multi-threaded concurrency).Proven track record of engineering high-throughput, latency-critical, or real-time distributed systems.Proficiency in Linux OS performance tuning, CPU pinning/affinity, and network stack optimization (TCP/UDP).Domain Knowledge (Preferred, Not Required)Understanding of limit order book dynamics, market data feeds, and execution algorithms (TWAP, VWAP, Implementation Shortfall).Familiarity with FIX protocol or native binary exchange protocols (e.g., ITCH/OUCH).
