Are you an experienced Web Developer with strong React, TypeScript and JavaScript expertise who enjoys building secure, intuitive and reliable public-facing applications? This is an opportunity to work within an agile, multidisciplinary delivery team, developing web components and APIs that support an important Australian cyber capability. Role You’ll work as part of an agile multidisciplinary Capability Delivery team alongside Business Analysts, Software Developers and Testers to design and build web components, APIs, data access functionality and business logic for a public-facing web system. You’ll contribute to the delivery, enhancement and future development of the Cyber capability, working across the software development lifecycle to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions. Your duties will include: Design, build, integrate, deliver and document software capabilities that meet business requirements.Work with business and product owners to clarify and develop user requirements using agile development methodologies.Develop and integrate web components, APIs, data access functionality and supporting business logic.Translate logical designs into physical designs and integrate software using Agile Software Development Methodology.Enhance existing automation capabilities and recommend or design new structures and tools to meet business requirements.Integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf and Government Off-The-Shelf software where required.Monitor systems and infrastructure and assist with troubleshooting and support requests.Implement and maintain automated testing and provide feedback on implementation and design.Produce technical process and detailed design documentation in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.Contribute to continuous improvement and promote knowledge sharing across the delivery team.Escalate technical and delivery issues and seek guidance from team leadership when required. Skills and experience we are looking for: Strong demonstrated experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript and ES6.Experience using modern build tools and bundlers, such as Webpack, and unit testing frameworks such as Jest.Experience tracking and progressing development tasks within Agile, Kanban and Scrum environments.Demonstrated experience implementing UX specifications for public-facing applications and producing detailed design documentation.Strong Single-Page Application (SPA) development experience, including state management using technologies such as Redux or MobX, routing and responsive design.Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.Experience implementing secure authentication workflows and data handling.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and software integration capabilities.Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary technical teams and communicate with business and product stakeholders.
