In this role, you'll:
Join the Rail Infrastructure Team of the Public Transport Project Branch (Infrastructure Projects & Engineering Division) that leads the statewide development and delivery of our public transport infrastructure projects and systems – including heavy rail across the state of NSW, light rail, and Sydney Metro interchange stations.
In this role, you will lead highly complex railway infrastructure program/ projects involving multi-disciplinary engineering, rail systems integration, major civil works, operational interfaces, and multiple delivery partners across the project lifecycle.
You will ensure projects are developed and delivered in accordance with Transport for NSW governance, assurance, safety, quality and operational requirements.
You will lead the front-end development, investment assurance, delivery and commissioning of high-profile projects, driving outcomes across planning, design, approvals, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.
Success in this role requires a self-motivated and proactive leader who can effectively navigate complex stakeholder environments, manage multiple interfaces, work with State and Federal government stakeholders and make informed decisions to progress project outcomes.
As a results-oriented project leader, you will be accountable for achieving performance targets across scope, schedule, safety, cost and quality, while identifying opportunities to enhance project efficiency, strengthen delivery practices, and contribute to continuous improvement and capability uplift across the broader program.
This is an ongoing (Perm) Transport Senior Service Manager TSSM level roles based in our Macquarie Park and George Street offices, Sydney.

About You
Your project leadership, stakeholder engagement and technical delivery expertise, developed across major Rail infrastructure, transport, engineering and construction environments, will enable you to successfully develop and deliver complex projects from concept through to commissioning.You have a proven ability to navigate technical, commercial and operational challenges, make sound decisions, and drive quality outcomes across multiple project phases.You are commercially astute, risk-aware and skilled at managing complex interfaces while maintaining a strong focus on safety, customer outcomes and value for money.You are a strategic, proactive and outcomes-focused leader who takes ownership, demonstrates initiative and consistently delivers results.Highly collaborative and influential, you build trusted relationships, manage competing priorities and effectively engage stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.Your experience includes leading large-scale infrastructure projects, procurement and contract management, governance and assurance, testing and commissioning, and quality management within regulated or government environments.You are a self-motivated and resilient professional with strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high performance.Strong comparable experience of more than 10 years in a similar Rai program/l projects environment will be highly regarded.
