Senior Backend/API Developer

We are seeking a Senior API Developer to build the robust and scalable APIs. As a key player, you'll contribute to every stage of the software development life cycle, focusing on quality, maintainability, performance, and reliability. What will you do: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance REST and/or GraphQL APIsCollaborate with product managers, architects, engineers, and infrastructure teams to define API specifications and requirementsWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code; Conduct code reviews and foster a culture of technical excellenceCollaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on deployment, monitoring and CI/CDOptimize API performance, scalability, and reliability through continuous monitoring and improvementDevelop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and API specificationsIntegrate internal systems with third-party applications and servicesEnsure adherence to security standards and implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as OAuth 2.0, JWT and API keys What do you need to succeed? Must have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 4 years focused on API developmentExpert-level proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, Go, or Node.js)Deep understanding of API design patterns, REST principles, and HTTP protocolsStrong experience with relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL data storesProficiency with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelinesDemonstrated expertise in unit testing, integration testing, and debuggingStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaborativelyAbility to work in an Agile environmentGood communication and collaboration abilities.A passion for technology and a love of software development culture Nice to have: Experience with Microservices and event-driven architectureFamiliarity with API gateways and API management platformExperience designing high-volume or mission-critical APIsKnowledge of financial data exchange standards and frameworksKnowledge of caching, messaging and async processing technologiesStrong understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives What’s In It for you?
