Job Title: DevOps Engineer Location: Oslo, Norway or Stockholm, Sweden Employment Type: Fixed term contract, 16 months Department: Technology This is a full-time permanent position, based in our Oslo office. We operate on a hybrid working arrangement and require a minimum of 2 days in the office. Overview We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to maintain and support Azure-based cloud infrastructure and 24/7 production systems, ensuring reliable data delivery through monitoring, automation, troubleshooting, system administration, security, backups and ongoing support across production, QA and development environments. Main Duties And Responsibilities Manage and maintain Azure resources hosting internally developed custom software.Monitor and support interconnected cloud-based systems operating 24/7, including Hive, Elasticsearch, Kibana, RabbitMQ, Docker and Azure Blob Storage.Process data from diverse ecosystems in line with industry standards and client contracts, ensuring data flows are optimised for quality, accuracy and timely delivery.Develop and implement automated provisioning solutions for applications and infrastructure.Perform routine housekeeping, backups and system administration activities.Ensure compliance with security and disaster recovery standards, working closely with central support teams.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through ticketing systems.Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and develop corrective action plans for internal and client use.Support and maintain customer-facing production systems, as well as QA and development environments.Identify, report and effectively manage technical risks.Provide technical support for a reference site where streaming and A/V tuning equipment operates continuously.Liaise with central support teams as required to ensure effective resolution of issues and ongoing system reliability. Essential Skills & Experience Strong understanding of the DevOps lifecycle from both application and infrastructure perspectives.Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including administration and configuration.Strong knowledge of Azure services and resources.Good understanding of version control systems and branching strategies, particularly Git.Strong experience with CI/CD tools, including the ability to create, manage and troubleshoot build and deployment pipelines.Experience with cloud management, diagnostics and monitoring.Strong Linux/Unix experience, with excellent troubleshooting skills.Experience with cloud computing, microservices and container technologies.Strong network-level infrastructure knowledge, including security best practices.Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban. Desirable Skills & Experience Experience with Azure PaaS, Hive, monitoring, system supervision, security and disaster recovery.Experience with Oracle administration and working knowledge of SQL.Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes or Elastic Container Service.Good understanding of web technologies, networking, websites, video streaming, browsers, and TV and broadcast delivery.Experience with multiple CI/CD and automation tools, such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Octopus, Ansible and Terraform.Practical experience with Git usage and branching practices.A bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
