In this high-impact role, you’ll be responsible for designing and optimizing release pipelines, driving automation, and implementing cloud infrastructure that accelerates delivery and ensures high availability.
You’ll work closely with developers, architects, security associates and operations teams to establish best practices and bring stability and scalability to our engineering workflows.

What You’ll Do
Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure and security teams to streamline delivery, reliability and observabilityDesign, implement and maintain GitHub Actions-based CI/CD pipelines that support our diverse set of applications and servicesDrive adoption and continuous improvement of DevOps practices across platforms and environments, helping teams fully leverage our existing frameworkManage releases across multiple AWS regions and environments, ensuring seamless deliverySolve complex infrastructure and deployment challenges with a strong focus on scalability, observability and automationSupport teams working across multiple applications, stacks and languages, quickly understanding and adapting to full-stack architectures and deployment flowsMentor and coach infrastructure engineers, fostering a DevOps culture across software teams
What Makes You Stand Out
DevOps expertise: You’ve built or significantly scaled a DevOps practice from the ground up.Strategic technical ownership: You have a strong sense of ownership in guiding DevOps strategy, tooling choices and architectural direction.Hands-on experience with modern tools: You have deep experience with GitHub Actions (CI/CD), AWS ECS, Docker and/or Podman container tooling, Terraform, CloudFormation, and observability tools like Dynatrace.Cross-functional collaboration: You work seamlessly with diverse application teams and quickly integrate into their workflows.Mentorship and team growth: You have a proven track record of mentoring others and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or a related field, or equivalent experience, requiredAt least five years of experience designing and managing CI/CD solutions, with at least one year of experience with GitHub Actions, requiredAt least five years of experience working with AWS cloud technologies (including ECS and Lambda), IaC tools (especially Terraform) and MySQL requiredAt least five years of experience scripting with Bash, Python or PowerShell requiredAt least three years of experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, ECS) requiredEnd-to-end testing experience requiredDeep knowledge of security and compliance industry best practices requiredExperience leading DevOps initiatives requiredFamiliarity with SRE implementation and best practices requiredWorking experience in an Agile environment requiredAt least two years of experience leading technical design and implementation of DevOps solutions requiredA demonstrated track record of mentoring and supporting the growth of other engineers requiredExposure to large, complex software solutions preferredA commitment to working on-site at Gallup’s Omaha office two to three days per week required
