A reputable financial technology company is seeking a high-caliber Open Banking Integration Developer to own the secure connections between its platform and partner banks, building microservices under mTLS and OAuth2 in line with local Open Banking standards. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain backend microservices exposing Open Banking APIsWrite clean, testable, production-grade code for every integrationMaintain technical documentation for each microservice builtImplement mTLS and OAuth2 for all financial-grade API connectionsManage certificate lifecycle and token security across integrationsMonitor for authentication failures and resolve them promptlyIntegrate with partner banks and third-party providers under local Open Banking standardsTroubleshoot integration failures and connectivity issues as they ariseCoordinate with partner technical teams to resolve integration mismatchesWrite and run unit and integration tests for all API endpointsConfirm each integration meets Open Banking security and data-sharing standards before releaseSupport internal audits of integration security posture Role Requirements Experience & Background Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field4–6 years in backend development, including at least two years building or integrating Open Banking or financial-grade APIsHands-on experience implementing mTLS and OAuth2 in a production environment is requiredHands-on experience integrating with banks or third-party providers under a regulatory Open Banking framework Functional & Technical Skills Proficiency in a backend language such as Java, Node.js, Python or .NETStrong understanding of REST/JSON APIs and certificate-based authenticationExperience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelinesAbility to read partner API documentation and resolve integration mismatches independently Expert in Tools Git and Postman for development and testingAPI gateway platforms such as Kong or ApigeeJira for delivery trackingConfluence for technical documentation Soft Skills & Culture Very good English and ArabicWork carefully and systematically, especially when handling security-related tasksCollaborate effectively with product, compliance, and technical partner teams Nice to Have Experience with the FAPI (Financial-grade API) security profilePrior Open Banking project experience in the GCC, UK or EU marketsAWS or Azure certificationFamiliarity with ISO 20022Experience working in a startup or scale-up delivery environment where processes are still being built
