Senior Java Software Engineer

Job Title: Java Developer End Client Domain: Banking Domain Location: Irving, TX/ Jersey City, NJ/ Tampa, FL/ Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Java and modern backend technologies, a strong understanding of system architecture and design principles, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications and services.Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decision-making.Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems.Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in both development and production environments.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to ongoing process improvements.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.7+ years of professional software development experience.Strong proficiency in Java (Java 17 or later).Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.Experience with Git version control and modern CI/CD pipelines.Experience working within Agile development environments.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications Experience designing and implementing microservices-based architectures.Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of messaging and streaming platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.Familiarity with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Cassandra.Understanding of application security best practices, including OAuth 2.0 and JWT authentication.Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical enterprise systems.
