Backend Engineer (.NET, C#, Azure) | Remote (1 day a month on site in London) | Up to £85,000
We’re partnering with a fast-growing scale up, product-led technology who are looking to hire a number of Backend Engineers to work on a brand new product they are looking to take to market.
This is a highly impactful, hands-on role where you’ll build and shape products that directly influence how the business scales.
About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join their dynamic and forward-thinking engineering team.
In this role, you will design, develop, and optimise backend systems that power a modern cybersecurity platform, working closely with other engineers to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design and deliver scalable, resilient backend systems built for performance and reliability.Build and maintain APIs and services that enable platform features and seamless integrations.Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code to support high-quality web applications.Investigate and resolve backend defects, performance bottlenecks, and technical issues.Work closely with Frontend Engineers to connect user-facing features with backend services.Translate technical and design requirements into practical, effective engineering solutions.Improve application performance, availability, and reliability while minimising service disruption.Develop reusable components, libraries, and shared code to accelerate future development.Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with business needs.Stay informed about emerging technologies, engineering practices, and industry developments to drive continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
Strong experience with .NET and C#Experience building APIs and working with microservices architectures (OpenAPI knowledge beneficial)Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases (e.g.
SQL or NoSQL)Experience integrating with third-party APIsFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCPAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Competitive salary depending on level;
Mid Level up to £65,000
Senior Level up to £85,000
