DevOps Automation Engineer - with Security+ certification, and one year of (hands-on) virtualization experience.
Must have and maintain Public Trust, Secret Security Clearance, and be eligible for Top-Secret Security Clearance/SCI
Location: Augusta, GA (On-site 5 days a week)
As the DevOps Automation Engineer, the individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing automation solutions that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of the organization's infrastructure and applications.
In this role, the DevOps Automation Engineer works with various automation tools and technologies, scripting, and collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline processes and support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Responsibilities:
Develops and implements automation solutions using tools such as Terraform and AnsibleCreates and maintains scripts using Python, JavaScript, and other relevant languagesDevelops and manages infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions to ensure consistent and reproducible infrastructure deploymentsImplements and maintains CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processesIntegrates automated testing and deployment processes to ensure high-quality releasesCollaborates with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applicationsManages cloud and on-premises infrastructure using virtualization platformsMonitors the performance, availability, and security of automated systems and processesOptimizes automation solutions to improve efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and enhance scalabilityTroubleshoots and resolves issues related to automation processes and CI/CD pipelinesWorks closely with development, operations, and security teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutionsProvides technical support and guidance on automation tools and practicesConducts training sessions and creates documentation to support the adoption of automation technologiesImplements security best practices within automation solutions to protect infrastructure and applicationsEnsures compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards in all automation activitiesStays updated with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and automationIdentifies opportunities for improving existing processes and implement enhancementsParticipates in capacity planning and disaster recovery planningPerforms other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office
Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Must have and maintain Public Trust, Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for Top-Secret Security Clearance with SCIdMust have a valid Security+ CertificationMust have at least one year of hands-on Virtualization experienceExtensive experience with automation tools and technologies, including Terraform and AnsibleProficiency in scripting languages such as Python and JavaScriptStrong understanding of CI/CD pipeline implementation and managementExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills
