Software Application Engineer – React (Cellular Communications) Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Working Pattern: On site Type: Permanent Salary: Dependent on experience Relocation: Open to candidates relocating — international applicants welcome Company: Tektora, supporting an established defence technology client Tektora are supporting an established defence technology client who are building the front end for their cellular communications products in Abu Dhabi, and are looking to speak with senior React engineers. This role is open to relocation. The client is actively considering candidates from outside the UAE and will support the move for the right person. This role would suit a front-end engineer who wants the interface to sit on top of something substantial — real-time cellular systems rather than another dashboard — and who is comfortable owning design decisions as well as implementation. The Role You Will Be Involved In Research, design and development of cellular communications applications using React and WebSocketDesigning and building for deployment across multiple platforms and architectures, and maintaining the CI/CD pipelineWriting unit and integration tests, and unit testing your own codeWorking alongside developers, system architects and product managers to deliver production-grade solutionsContributing to technical and architectural decisions rather than only implementing themWorking in multi-disciplinary Agile teams Key Experience Required 10+ years in web application development with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS8+ years with React or a comparable component frameworkRedux, Docker and WebSocket in productionComfortable working from written specifications and designing against themSelf-directed — able to plan and run a piece of work without close supervisionStrong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skillsBSc or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field Desirable Experience UX and UI design — the client would like someone who can shape the interface, not only build itReal-time or streaming data interfaces, and data-dense operational displaysTelecoms, defence, aerospace or another regulated, high-assurance environment Interested?
