BettingJobs is working with a fast-growing B2B technology provider powering sportsbook and online casino platforms for operators across international markets, and we are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their technology team.
This is a hands-on role owning the infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, security and operational reliability behind a large-scale, high-traffic iGaming platform.
It will suit an engineer who enjoys automating everything, troubleshooting complex production issues and setting the standards a growing engineering organisation will work to for years.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, maintain and improve development, staging and production infrastructureManage cloud, on-premises or hybrid infrastructure environmentsManage Windows-based application servers and IISDeploy and maintain .NET applications and backend servicesDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing and deploymentsAutomate repetitive infrastructure, configuration and deployment tasksManage server configuration, networking, DNS, SSL/TLS certificates and firewall rulesMonitor application and infrastructure health, performance, availability and resource utilisationImplement logging, monitoring, alerting and operational dashboardsTroubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking and production issuesManage database infrastructure and work with developers on SQL Server performance and availabilityManage backups, disaster recovery and system recovery proceduresImplement infrastructure security best practices, access controls, secrets management and system hardeningManage application and server environments across development, staging and productionSupport release management and coordinate production deploymentsParticipate in incident response and root-cause analysisMaintain infrastructure and operational documentationHelp establish and improve DevOps standards, processes and best practices
Requirements:
4+ years of professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure, systems engineering or a related roleStrong experience managing production infrastructure in cloud, on-premises or hybrid environmentsStrong experience with Windows Server environmentsStrong experience with IIS and the deployment of .NET applicationsExperience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesExperience with infrastructure automation and scriptingStrong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing and routingExperience managing SSL/TLS certificates and secure network configurationsExperience with monitoring, logging, alerting and production troubleshootingStrong understanding of compute, storage, networking, virtualisation and infrastructure architectureExperience managing Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure, backups and basic performance troubleshootingStrong understanding of Linux fundamentalsExperience with Git and version-control workflowsExperience with PowerShell or a similar scripting languageUnderstanding of infrastructure security, access control, secrets management and system hardeningExperience with backup, disaster recovery and business continuityStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsGood written and spoken English
