Responsibilities Develop, maintain and improve customer-facing web applicationsBuild front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScriptDevelop back-end functionality using technologies such as Node.js, PHP and SQLDesign and maintain relational databases, including PostgreSQLTranslate business and customer requirements into technical solutionsTest, debug, deploy and enhance software applicationsUse Git and source control to manage code changesCreate and maintain technical documentationCommunicate with colleagues and customers to gather requirements and resolve issuesFollow security, data protection and software development best practices Desirable Skills Attention to detailAnalytical thinkingTechnical documentationSoftware testing and ability to learn new technologies quicklyCustomer-focusedTakes ownership of workWorks effectively both independently and as part of a team Entry Requirements The learner must have completed a Level 3 Software Development Apprenticeship with QA or have an equivalent qualification with another training providerOR an A-level in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) subject and a successful completion of our aptitude testOR a BTEC Diploma in IT and a successful completion of our aptitude testOR 2 years’ experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our aptitude test You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
