Senior Full-Stack Engineer

SOLTECH is seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer with strong hands-on experience developing production applications using PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js and a background building applications within the financial services industry. This role will contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and support of business-critical applications. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who can work effectively across the application stack, understand complex business requirements, and translate those requirements into reliable, maintainable software. Experience working with financial applications is important for this role, with particular value placed on experience supporting options trading or related trading platforms and workflows. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with complex financial concepts, data, calculations, integrations, and business rules. PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js are core technical requirements. Experience with Python is beneficial but not required. Core Responsibilities Design, develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack web applications using PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js.Develop clean, maintainable, and well-structured production code across the frontend and backend.Build responsive frontend applications and user interfaces using Vue.js.Design and develop backend application logic, services, and APIs using PHP and Laravel.Translate financial and business requirements into effective technical solutions.Develop and support applications used within financial services and trading-related environments.Work with complex business rules, calculations, transactional data, and financial workflows.Integrate applications with third-party APIs, market or financial data sources, and other internal or external systems.Design and work with relational databases, including data modeling, SQL development, and query optimization.Troubleshoot application issues across the frontend, backend, database, and integration layers.Participate in application design and technical decision-making.Conduct code reviews and contribute to development standards and engineering best practices.Write automated tests and support reliable application deployment and production operations.Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and other engineers to move requirements from concept through production.Evaluate technical approaches and recommend practical solutions based on maintainability, performance, security, and business needs. Core Requirements Full-Stack Development Significant professional software development experience building and supporting production applications.Strong, hands-on PHP development experience is required.Strong, hands-on Laravel framework experience is required.Strong, hands-on Vue.js development experience is required.Demonstrated experience developing full-stack web applications using PHP/Laravel on the backend and Vue.js on the frontend.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and maintainable application architecture.Experience developing backend services and REST APIs.Strong experience with relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and query optimization.Experience integrating applications with third-party APIs and external systems.Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, performance, and scalability.Experience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues across multiple layers of a system. Financial Services & Trading Experience Experience developing software within the financial services industry.Understanding of financial applications, data, transactions, calculations, and business workflows.Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and subject matter experts in a financial environment.Experience with options trading, options platforms, or options-related workflows is highly valued.Experience with broader trading, brokerage, investment, securities, or capital markets applications may also be relevant. Preferred Qualifications Python development experience.Experience developing or supporting options trading applications or platforms.Knowledge of options concepts, terminology, trading workflows, and related financial calculations.Experience with brokerage, trading, investment management, capital markets, or other financial technology environments.Experience integrating market data, financial data providers, trading systems, or financial APIs.Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Experience with containerization and modern deployment practices.Experience modernizing or extending existing production applications.Experience working in environments where application accuracy, reliability, security, and performance are critical. What We Are Looking For Hands-On Full-Stack Developer. You are comfortable working directly in the codebase and contributing production software across both the frontend and backend. Strong PHP/Laravel Engineer. PHP and Laravel are technologies you have used extensively to build, enhance, and maintain production applications. Experienced Vue.js Developer.
