We provide end-to-end consulting and client services while also building in-house products like Avia (https://www.retailogists.com/avia). Our team works with leading retail and e-commerce clients on complex projects, with deep expertise across multiple technical domains. Our e-commerce engineering team is a lean and high-impact squad of veteran full stack engineers with a focus on Shopify development. If you're a seasoned Shopify developer with full stack expertise who's tired of cookie-cutter projects, this is a role where your expertise will have real impact. Role Overview We're looking for a Shopify Developer to join our team and take ownership of complex, client-facing e-commerce builds and migrations. You'll be an owner on Shopify and other projects — both headless and native — working alongside our engineering and consulting teams to deliver best-in-class retail experiences. ResponsibilitiesArchitect and develop sophisticated Shopify storefronts, both headless (Hydrogen/custom) and native (Liquid/OS 2.0).Own technical delivery on client e-commerce projects from scoping through launch.Build custom Shopify apps, integrations, and theme components to meet complex business requirements.Collaborate closely with designers, PMs, and clients to translate requirements into polished, high-performance experiences.Follow and improve best practices around code quality, testing, development lifecycles, and quality assuranceIntegrate third-party platforms and APIs (ERP, PIM, OMS, loyalty, marketing tools, etc.).Contribute to the development of our internal products. Requirements 2+ years of professional Shopify development experience, with a strong portfolio of complex builds.Deep expertise in Shopify's ecosystem: Liquid, Shopify CLI, Theme OS 2.0, Metafields, and the Storefront/Admin APIs.Public portfolio of Shopify projectsExperience with headless Shopify implementations (Hydrogen, custom React/Next.js frontends).Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and related front-end tooling.Strong back-end chops — Node.js (or equivalent backend frameworks in other languages), REST/GraphQL APIs, and third-party integrations.Solid Git workflow experience (branching, PRs, code review).Experience with GenAI augmented engineering workflows (Claude, Cursor etc.).Excellent communication skills — you'll be interfacing with clients and cross-functional teams regularly.
