About The Company A startup founded by Stanford graduate students to accelerate the interconnection of new generation and large loads to the US grid. We are building a platform that shows developers how different interconnection queue scenarios affect their projects. Key Responsibilities Build Python-based automation on top of power systems engineering software APIsDevelop workflows to run and manage large volumes of study scenarios efficientlyCreate a simple internal UI for the team to interact with study tools and resultsSupport the development of a cleaner, more customer-facing interface if neededBuild tools that help analyze study outputs and assist with network upgrade hypothesesExplore and implement agentic / LLM-based copilot workflows to assist with study review and decision-makingWork closely with the power systems engineer to translate domain logic into softwareImprove internal engineering workflows through automation, tooling, and process optimizationHelp design scalable systems that can support both internal operations and future client-facing needs Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong proficiency in PythonExperience building automation around APIs and internal toolsFamiliarity with or ability to quickly learn Python APIs for engineering/technical softwareExperience building internal web tools / simple internal UIsComfortable working on production-quality workflows and scalable automationInterest in building agentic / LLM-based copilots is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work closely with a domain expertAble to collaborate on technical workflows in a startup environment
