Backend Developer

Avnet, Inc. a Fortune 500 company and one of the global leaders in the field of distribution of electronic components is looking for a Backend Developer with strong Python experience to design and build scalable, high-performance services. You will work on innovative projects ranging from data platforms to AI/LLM integrations, directly contributing to the company’s digital transformation. What You Will Be Doing Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPIBuild scalable and high-performance APIs for internal applicationsWork with NoSQL databases such as MongoDBDesign and optimize big data processing pipelinesPerform and optimize large-scale data transformations using Apache Spark on private cloud clustersCollaborate with cross-functional teams (data, frontend, business)Manage code versioning using GitHubContribute to modern software architecture designOptimize system performance and reliability. The Ideal Person Must have: Strong proficiency in PythonHands-on experience with FastAPIExperience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDBStrong experience working with big data systems and large-scale datasetsProven ability to optimize performance of data transformations, particularly using Apache SparkExperience working with distributed computing environments (e.g. private cloud clusters)Familiarity with version control systems (GitHub or similar)Experience building RESTful APIsSolid understanding of backend architectures and microservicesHigh proficiency in English (written and spoken). Nice To Have Experience with Neo4jKnowledge of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft AzureExperience with ElasticsearchBackground in AI / Machine Learning (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow)Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs)Familiarity with data pipelines and analytics systems.
