A high-growth financial technology company is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to help shape the future of how institutions manage and access private market investment data.
Their platform supports investors, family offices, wealth managers, financial institutions, and asset managers by centralising complex investment information, delivering greater transparency, operational efficiency, and actionable insights across alternative asset classes.
They are looking to disrupt the investment space (venture capital, hedge funds and private equity) by building an AI-native platform that simplifies the management of private investments through automation, data standardisation, and intelligent workflows.

Responsibilities

Requirements
8+ years of professional software engineering experienceProven track record delivering complex technical projects with organisation-wide impactStrong experience building and scaling modern SaaS, fintech, or enterprise software platformsDeep expertise in distributed systems, large-scale backend architecture, cloud-native applications, or full-stack developmentExperience designing systems that prioritise performance, resilience, security, and scalabilityStrong understanding of software architecture patterns, APIs, and data-intensive applicationsDemonstrated ability to influence technical direction and build alignment across teamsExperience mentoring engineers and elevating engineering standardsExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholdersComfortable operating in fast-moving, high-growth technology environmentsExperience building software within fintech, wealth management, investment technology, financial data, or capital markets environmentsPrevious experience at a fast-growing technology startup or scale-upBonus: Background building internal platforms, developer tooling, automation frameworks, or infrastructure servicesBonus: Exposure to data processing, workflow automation, document management, or analytics platformsBonus: Experience supporting enterprise customers with complex operational requirements
